After much thought, I’ve finally decided to start up a blog. This will be the easiest way for me to post any news and have you check it from time to time.

We had a great time in MN and are trying to adjust back here in Austria. Our flights back went well considering our 7 hour layover in DC. We didn’t end up going into the city as I had thought. Instead we spent our time eating, shopping, eating again, shopping again, watching DVDs and then one more trip to Dunkin’ Donuts for that last American chocolate donut and coffee! Guess what Sophia bought? Yet another stuffed animal!! Oh well, it’s Obama’s dog, so how could I say no – Haahaa! The girls slept 4 out of the 8 hours on the flight. The fun climaxed when Sophia got sick just as it was our turn to leave our seats. The last thing I remember was Isabella complaining that Sophia was crying because she couldn’t leave the seat first. I looked at Sophia and that was it. Poor thing! She felt very bad and was embarrassed. Isabella was almost off the plane when she finally noticed that I wasn’t behind her. Well, we then made a trip to the restroom and freshened up for our next flight which was in 45 minutes. I realized we were back in Europe because of how “polite” the gate attendant was. Our plane going to Graz was so small that I wasn’t able to bring my carry-on on the plane with me, so I asked her if I could take out a few things for the girls. She said “If it has to be, then do it over there in the corner, but make it fast because everyone’s waiting for you!” Keep in mind we still had 25 minutes to spare. I really LOVE the European “Welcome home” greeting committee. At this point I wanted to punch her in the face, but being the mid-western girl I am, I just smiled and told her I’d hurry up. Our flight to Graz was uneventful – thank goodness. We did get stopped at customs but they didn’t check our bags – thank goodness again. He just chatted with me for a few minutes and that was it. Dieter was anxiously awaiting us on the other side of the doors!

Well now we’ve been home almost 48 hours and our emotions have been going up and down. Yesterday I was grumpy and today it looks like it’s Isabella’s turn. We’ll see who it is tomorrow
